Canadian Real Estate disruptor PropertyGuys.com is thrilled to announce its return to Yellowknife

Former agent is bringing home the future of real estate

September 8, 2022

“Yellowknife was one of our top locations for listings many years ago and we are certain that new owner, Trevor Reid, can re-establish that location and have a solid impact on the real estate market in the Northwest Territories,” says PropertyGuys.com Franchise Launch Director Jason Capson.

“Every territory across the nation is unique in its own way so having someone who has lived in the territory and is well known certainly helps. The Yellowknife PropertyGuys.com franchise is in great hands with Trevor at the helm.”

Trevor recently took the time to speak with us about why he feels the PropertyGuys.com business model will resonate with citizens in the northern Canadian city.

Can you tell us a bit about your background? Is real estate something that always interested you or is this a new endeavor?

I worked as a sales agent with Coldwell Banker in Yellowknife for just over two years, completing approximately 65 deals during that time. But I felt something was a bit off as I was working every evening and weekend, and I arrived at a point that it wasn’t working for me any longer. I moved into a completely different occupation but still had the desire to do something with real estate and so I started looking at different facets of the overall business. Being from Newfoundland, I originally contacted the PropertyGuys.com team to see about the availability of franchises there but in speaking with Jason, he suggested I consider picking up the Yellowknife franchise instead.

What do you see as the most significant opportunity for bringing the PropertyGuys.com brand to Yellowknife? What about challenges?

The biggest opportunity will be allowing home sellers to keep more money in their pocket, and helping families get into the homes they deserve to have. Pricing will be the biggest advantage over other brokerages.

What drew you to the PropertyGuys.com brand and what have been your impressions so far?

I love helping homeowners, whether it’s recommending small changes to help add value to their home, or providing guidance in selling. Traditional real estate brokerages charge an exorbitant amount of money for listing and selling a home, but with PropertyGuys.com, we’re giving homeowners the opportunity to hold onto a bigger slice of their hard-earned equity. No one wants to lose on a home deal and PropertyGuys.com offers homeowners a definite advantage over going with a traditional real estate firm.
