How big is your franchise network?

We are North America’s largest private sale franchisor and we have over 100 franchise operators coast to coast. You can find our signs in over 600 communities across Canada. We are one of the fastest growing franchise systems in Canadian history.

Do I need a real estate license to operate a franchise?

No you don’t. It does help to have a passion for people and properties though! We do have some franchise operators that were real estate agents though – and now they’ve chosen to own a PropertyGuys.com franchise instead of being an active agent.

If I’m interested, how does the franchise award process work?

It all starts with completing our on This website.  Once you send that to us our franchise team will call you to answer your questions, outline available opportunities and make sure that you are a good fit for our organization.   Depending on your level comfort and knowledge, the complete process can take as little as 30 days, but it’s really driven by the level of your interest, and how many candidates we have looking at a specific area.

May I call existing franchise owners for more information?

You bet – In fact, we recommend it!   As you go through the awarding process, there will be the time to talk to other like-minded franchise operators. Our franchise team will match you up with franchisees with similar backgrounds who have volunteered to make time in their busy schedules to speak with potential franchisee candidates.

As a new franchisee, what will I need to get started?

We’ll make sure you have everything you need to get started, but some of the basic tools of the trade are a wrapped vehicle, digital camera, internet access, dedicated business line and the PropertyGuys.com start-up package. As the business grows, so will your team and market presence, and there will potentially be a need for a commercial office space.

How much support will I get as a franchisee?

Support starts the day you sign your franchise agreement and really gets rocking during your trip to PGU, After PGU, our coaching team will talk to you often and will be able to help you at all phases of your business. There is also an annual conference where all the franchise operators get together for additional training, and to build formal and informal relationships. We also celebrate our team and individual achievements with recognition awards and have a lot of fun!
